Can we bring the WHOLE family?
Yes, here at Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites children of all ages are welcome. You can even bring your dog to one of our dog friendly suites. Call us at 800-627-4701 for more info on our hotel pet policy.
Can we bring cars to Martha’s Vineyard?
Yes, but reservations are mandatory, so call The Steamship Authority at 508-477-8600 or head to the Steamship Authority. More information transportation to Martha’s Vineyard can be found on our Getting Here page.
Does the Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites have parking?
Yes. However, our lot is a block and a half away from the hotel with limited spaces which must be reserved in advance. There also is free parking at the edge of town, which is serviced by a free shuttle that drops you 1 block from our Edgartown hotel. Due to the expense involved and our convenient location, many visitors (especially those on shorter trips) prefer to leave their car behind and use public transportation and bicycles to get around Martha’s Vineyard.
If we don’t bring a car, how will we get around?
You can walk to everything in Edgartown from the Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites’ central location. There are lots of other options and all without the traffic headaches and ferry reservations. See our Getting Here page for more info.
What time are check-in and checkout?
Check-in is after 3 p.m. and checkout is prior to 11 a.m., but don’t let your Island adventure be limited by these times! If you arrive early, stop by and leave your bags with us and we will help you get acclimated to the Vineyard and find ways to enjoy your day. And, when it’s time to check out of your hotel room, you can do the same. We remain your hosts until you leave the Island!
Where should we eat?
Chesca’s – the popular restaurant right off Vineyard Square’s front porch is open for dinner in season. In season, you can enjoy a continental breakfast in the hotel’s atrium and garden courtyard and afternoon tea in the hotel lobby daily. There are many other dining options in Edgartown and throughout Martha’s Vineyard. Check our our Area Dining Guide page for your pre-visit research, Be sure to look at our menu book during your stay and never hesitate to ask our knowledgable staff for suggestions!
How close are you to town?
We’re right in the heart of things in Edgartown! Less than a 2-minute walk to Main Street or the Edgartown Harbor (and the closest ferry). We’re ideally located to enjoy all that lovely Edgartown and the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard have to offer.
Is there enough to keep the family busy for a whole week?

Do you have an elevator and wheelchair accessibility?
The Main Hotel Wing does not have an elevator, but we offer luggage assistance. We have wheelchair accessible rooms on our 2nd floor via a wheelchair lift. If you or anyone in your party has difficulty with stairs, please mention this at time of reservation so that a room on the 2nd floor can be set aside for you. We do have elevators to our luxury suites in the Edgartown Residences Wing.
