Martha’s Vineyard is famous for its lack of chain stores. Boutiques and specialty stores line Edgartown’s quaint streets. Here are a few of our favorites just a block from Vineyard Square.
- Bluefish Coastal Boutique (at Vineyard Square). You’ll discover all things ocean inspired at Bluefish. Dishware, home accessories, clothing, jewelry, local artisan wares, and more. Treasures flourish for every size pocketbook in this store – which features a great selection of pocketbooks, too!
- CB Stark. Create a souvenir that grows every year – an Island charm bracelet from CB Stark Jewelers. Take the lighthouses, the Black Dog, even a little vial of sand with you everywhere you go. Dozens of delicate charms help you create your own unique Martha’s Vineyard keepsake.
- Edgartown Books. Need a good read to take to the beach? The folks at local independent bookshop, Edgartown Books, have never steered us wrong. The “staff picks” wall is the go-to place for great “vacation reads.” Or, grab something about Martha’s Vineyard history or a novel by a local writer.
- Murdick’s Fudge. If you’re sitting in the Square and a delicious smell wafts by, you are not dreaming. It’s the latest batch of fudge brewing across the street at Murdick’s. The fudge is fantastic, but don’t miss the peanut and cashew brittles – yummmmy!
