    Getting to Vineyard Square

Martha’s Vineyard is accessible by airplane or a 45-90 minute ferry ride. Year round Martha’s Vineyard ferry service is available from Woods Hole and New Bedford, MA and seasonal ferry services are available from the Massachusetts towns of Falmouth, Hyannis, Nantucket, as well as from Quonset, Rhode Island. Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites (formerly The Colonial Inn) is centrally located on the island of Martha’s Vineyard and convenient to a great public transportation system; so coming to Martha’s Vineyard without a car is an easy, and recommended option.

The Steamship Authority ferry out of Woods Hole, MA (Cape Cod) is the only one capable of transporting vehicles to Martha’s Vineyard. If you plan to bring a car onto Martha’s Vineyard, you will need to take this ferry service. It runs into Vineyard Haven year round, and Oak Bluffs seasonally. Either port is only a 10-15 min. drive to the Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites. Advance vehicle reservations are strongly recommended.
